CREEPY Gee Whized EYEBALLS

So, This weekend, I decided to FINALLY Make what’s been in my Head for sometime now... I decided to make Ping Pong eye balls. You see, I have this Flower arrangement in my guest bath, that, well, Needed a little CREEP... So, I was at the 99¢ store, and picked up a 6 pack. I had them, and instantly got SO excited to execute my vision....

If you’re ANYTHING like me, You hate when something is TOO perfect. Example: Smooth Frosting on a cake, or a perfectly polished finger nail. In this case the Ping pongs were TOO white, and clean.... NOT FOR LONG.

I wanted each eyeball to be different. My own spin. Eyeballs have always been my thing. I LOVE them and they ARE the Window to our soul.

Here they are painted... All lined up and ready to party.

Now, I took my dremel, And drilled a hole on the bottom.

Took some old chop sticks, and pushed them in.

WAH LAH!

Hope you like em’

MUCH BETTER Creepy!

Craft Shoe re do!

Hi Ya'll!
I was Fortunate enough to go to this Wonderful event With Mister Mark Montano.

He is extraordinary....Just in case you do not already know. He is a TRUE Gem, and I enjoyed EVERY bit of my time out and about with him.

My journey began on Thursday, March 1st. My travels from Oceanside to The Hollywood area were not the best, but the excitement got me there in no time, Excitement AND the Old school Hip hop I was playing on the RADIO... LET me tell you, I was WORKING it in my car, and Actually came up with some new moves for my ZUMBA classes ;)

So, I got there, and Mark and I had my Very first try at Ethiopian food. DIVINE is an understatement, the spices, the missing utensils, UGH! Sooo YUM!
Next stop, a cute little thrift store... NICE finds. We Thrifted, vintaged, and Jewleryed...  AMAZING! These are the INCREDIBLE Finds I found. I can't WAIT to set up my Dracula.. Reminds me of Monster Squad!

Next up, The LACMA... Where Some of FRIDA'S Paintings Reside! OH my GOD! I lost it....I embraced, I cried, and I took Pictures. I had seen her Whole Exhibit before, In San francisco, However, I can See it again and Again. Her Brush strokes, her essence... AYE It was ALL there. VERY Powerful. If your in the area, I DEFINITELY Recommend see the "Surrealist"Exhibit there. FABULOUS!

LOVE this picture Of Mark. So Serious, and Artisitic!

FLower Power Pens A'La GEE WHIZ

Hello all, and HAPPY Friday!
Today’s tutorial Will be My FABULOUS Flower pens. You know those pens that are so beautiful and whimsical, and as a matter of fact,  Easy Peasy?!?
Usually found in doctors offices, or any offices of that matter, now YOU too can make them, but of COURSE with a GEE WHIZ Twist.

I add FABRIC scraps to them. In between the petals. Here we go!

Supplies:
• Faux flowers
•Different fabric scraps
•Scissors
• Pens (Plain ball point with a smooth surface.)
• Foral tape (one of my FAVORITE things to craft with)
•Wire cutters

First off, Dismantle the flower petals. Take apart your flower (I LOVE using two or three different types of flowers to get beautiful color arrangements)

Take a contrasting piece of fabric (s) that you’ll be “sandwiching” in between the petals, and draw a flower shape on the back, and cut out.
**You want to draw your flower pattern on the back so that It wont show up on the front**

When you’ve cut out the flower pattern, cut a smallish hole/slit with your scissors right in the middle so the top of the flower can slip right through.

Start Layering your pieces...
And put the middle through all of them.

Make sure you use the back green part to “Form” your petals into a beautiful flower.
Pretty colors!

Use the stem you dismantled off of the flowers and cut it using your wire cutters so that it is about 1/2 the length of the pen.

Hold in place, and start wrapping with your floral tape!

WAH-LAH!
BEAUTIFUL!

Stop, GEE WHIZ, and Smell the flowers. Add some pretty perfume, and smell em' up! PERFECT for the Writers Bouquet!

Affirmations

My Mornings always start off with some sort of Affirmations.

Has any one ever tried saying Affirmations? A sort of “Statement” of what your life has given you, or what you would like for it to be.
I say them and use them daily in my every day life. They assist me into the person I  am and would CONTINUE to be.

To grow, and flourish into a better ME.

It gives me MY own hope that this life will be grand and unique. I think I am where I am because of what I believe. In myself. If there is ever any trouble, or doubt, or personal insanity in any aspect in your life, try it. It doesn’t’ hurt. My method is simple, direct, and effective. I wanted to write about this today because I know there are SO many issues and problems in this world, and in our own day to day routines. There is no room for negativity or crazy, (Well, Maybe a little Crazy, but the good crazy)
Here are some things to say (My Method is to say them out loud, it’s More effective)

*Good Day, Good Month, Good Year (Simple right?)

*This day WILL be GREAT. This day I will Love myself and others that need me

* I am beautiful. I can Do ___________.

*I have Strength. I have Courage. I WILL do.

*This day will be MY day.

So, you got the idea? Pretty straight forward. They do wonders for your day ahead, and make you realize what a Wonderful person you are / can be. It is a tool that I Love to use, and my outlook has never been better. YOU are your sanctuary. YOU hold the key to your own divine happiness. Make Today Grand. If you have any other ideas/words/affirmations to add, don’t hesitate to list them as such. Comment here or on my page! I’d love to hear them!

Be happy. Be you.

Xoxo-E

New Painting of 2012

My 6 hours of painting, from start to finish. I had this canvas, and was looking at it for a while. I usually do my backgrounds first, and then the painting comes to me visually.

I am not your “traditional” Artist, but, then again, what IS a “Traditional” artist. If you are an artist, WHO’s to say how long a painting should take, or what colors to use... Or to pencil it our first? YOU are. I ALWAYS say, Art is in the eye of the beholder, and that is the Darn truth!

Sometimes, I’m almost done with a  painting, and I HATE it, and splatter black paint on it, and then It’s GLORIOUS! Sometimes, the opposite.

Even if you are not a painter, or an artist of any kind. We ALL do things in our OWN way. Whether it be Kooky, or not. Whether it be the same as everyone else or not. This world is GREAT because of the differences we all have.

This is my 6 hour painting. Same GEE WHIZ style, different subject. I USUALLY paint and art up the ladies. I LOVE color. I wanted to create a Masculine GEE WHIZ character. I want to Show people, there is more to me and my usual paintings. I LOVe different. I LOVE change, but with the same twist. MY twist.

Here he is. My O.Gee. (Original Gangsta a la Gee Whiz)

I hope you dig. I know I do....
